Week 5 (Mexico Training Center - Mexico City, Mexico) ONE MONTH AS A MISSIONARY!!!

¡Hola!

Honestly guys nothing very interesting has happened the past week. All of my days are the same everyday, so this will probably be a boring read!

Oh I had to get a new phone, because my other ones camera wasn't working so yeah luckily I have most of my photos backed up onto my Google photos!

One thing that happened this week that was super cool was so once every week we have an activity called "Helping Others" and what we do is prepare a lesson in all Spanish and teach someone over zoom or in person who may or may not be a member, just to practice before going to the field. So this specific one was a little later in the night and we get on the zoom and its a young man who I believe is 18. We accidentally didn't ask him if he was a member but anyways we get through the lesson, we thought we did terrible because our Español is still not very good lol! We didn't think much of it until the next day we had our Preach My Gospel class our teacher told us we taught his brother! Our teacher told us that his brother thought our Spanish was actually really good AND He said that he loved my testimony! He told us that his brother had never thought about serving a mission and after hearing our lesson and my testimony, he is now thinking of serving!! How sick is that!!! Definitely a good feeling because we thought we didn't do very well!

Another fun thing we do is, there is a feature on Facebook where you can poke each other back and forth and can create poking "streaks" so I have a few streaks going with a few of my missionary friends, it is a lot of fun!

Other than that its been the same old same old. I do think my Spanish is getting pretty good!

One of our workshops this week was how can we talk to people without being awkward, being ourselves and not creating 2 personalities. It was super inciteful, as missionaries we teach and teach and teach but it wont always be like that and we have to remember how to be normal human beings and be skilled in having small talk. 

Oh! I also hit ONE MONTH AS A MISSIONARY!!!! Honestly it went by so fast! 17 more months to go!
