Hey everyone!!! This week has gone by so quick but the days were a dragggg! I do basically the same thing, all day every day. It's a lot of fun, my district is great, we get a long pretty well, I think we all already argue like siblings. They also have named me "District Mom" because I always have gum or snacks if anyone gets hungry. It's pretty funny! Not too much to update on, one of my roommates and I auditioned for a special musical number (Silent Night in Spanish/English) for a devotional but we don't know if we got it yet (see video below).  I'd love to hear from you guys!  Email me!   ¡Hola! Hope everyone is doing well! Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I was still in Home MTC! It went by so fast but so slow because I knew I was going to be flying to México that week! Wednesday was a travel preparation day so I packed and unpacked then packed again haha! Wednesday night I said goodbye to my brothers and then went to bed super early. Thursday morning my parents and I woke up at 2:45 am to get to the airport for my first flight. We cried pretty hard, by we I mean me and my mom lol. Luckily we saw another missionary in line and he was on my flight! There was also another Elder on my flight as well. I was pretty nervous to be alone so I'm very happy I wasn't! First flight was Kansas to Atlanta, it was okay a little bit of turbulence. Once we landed we had to quickly get to my gate because we got off the plane at 8:40 am and my flight was boarding at 8:50 am. Before we got off the plane I said a quick prayer hoping I would make it in time. We got off the plane and ...

¡Hola! How is everybody?? Saturday was my first P-day (preparation day or day off kinda)!! This week went by super fast! Some of the days felt super long but before I knew it, it was Friday and I had finished my first week of HOME MTC!!!  Here’s how it went! Everyday we had a workshop with 2 teacher sat the Prove MTC. Mondays workshop we talked about why we do Home MTC and our concerns about the MTC, our mission and everything we have to leave behind. One of the take-aways I got from it was, It’s okay to have concerns but if you bring them to the Lord he will help. Do your best, the Lords got the rest! Then I had my first Spanish class. I got to meet the missionaries in my district, and my companion, she is great! They’re all pretty great. We all get a long super well! But let me tell you I was so lost the entire time! My brain was full of information by the end of the class. Then I had my Preach my Gospel class, that class is super spiritual and I learned a lot of new inform...

Day 1 (Home MTC - Overland Park, KS) Called To Serve

Image
Gabi was set apart this past Sunday afternoon to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She will train online at home for a week and a half. She departs for the Mexico Missionary Training Center (MTC) on November 14th to further her training. She will enter the mission field on December 18th and serve the people of Orlando Florida in the Spanish language for the next 18 months. We are so proud of her and her dedication to serve the Lord and the people of Orlando. All future posts will be Hermana (Sister) Bailey reporting on her mission and the service she is providing. You can directly contact her at her missionary email address (gabriella.bailey@missonary.org). I know she would love to hear from you. She may not respond right away but will respond when she can.
