Week 24 (Orlando, Florida) Peace Be Unto Thy Soul
Hola hola a todos!!
Again shouldn't let the intro fool you, another rough week! But we persevered and got to the end of the week!
Let's dive on in!
Sweets: actually have some this week
- actually met some super cool people
- we had a multi-stake conference and they formed a new stake here in Orlando called the Orlando Citrus Ridge Stake and that's the stake I'll be a part of!
- well maybe not for long cuz this week is....TRANSFERRSSSS!!!! I'm so excited to see what's gonna happen! I've been in this area (Buena Ventura West) for the past months I have been here, so that's what we call a "baby area" or in mission terms I was born here. So I've been here for 3 transfers which is 4 and a half months
- I'm pretty sure this transfer I'm leaving and going to a new area but we find out on Tuesday! So wish me luck!
Sours:
- still got rejected A TON!! people were pretty rude this week, and usually the rejection doesn't get to me but when its basically todo el mundo rejecting us, it was pretty exhausting.
- with the new stake, my zone Osouth (the best zone ever) This transfer it will be completely demolished because of boundaries being redrawn etc etc. But it'll be good and I'm super excited!
Pensamiento espiritual:
These past few weeks I've learned how important faith is. I know I have faith, I have faith in the Lord and I know that He has my back no matter what. But when you face trial and opposition, that faith can falter because the adversary is working so hard to make it falter. I read in the Doctrine and Covenants 121:7-9, it says;
7 My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment;
8 And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes.
9 Thy friends do stand by thee, and they shall hail thee again with warm hearts and friendly hands.
I read these scriptures and tears streamed down my face. I knew in that moment that good, amazing things, are coming for this area.
I am beyond thankful for the Gospel and the place that it has in my life. I have recognized the significance of the Gospel that my parents have been trying to teach me my whole life. Seeing it from a missionary view changed everything and I am eternally grateful for the knowledge I have about our Loving Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ.
I love you all. Have an amazing week. Go spread the Gospel!
