Week 58/59 of 78 (Orlando, Florida) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hola hola a todos! Como estan???

I'm alive haha! We didn't have pday on Monday we had it on Christmas! So there's a lot to cover, so let's dive right in!

Sweets:

- Jose and Nadia got baptized!!! It was such a beautiful day! Def a day to remember, they both immediately started crying after, it was so precious

- exchange with Hermana Jones, I love her

- had so many bussss member meals

- and had some awesome miracles while finding new friends to teach this week!

- gave out 7 Books of Mormon to a whole group of Latinos!!

- 24 hour exchange with hna Bair!!! It was so fun, we reminisced the whole time on how a year ago we were in the MTC and just starting our missions and now we go home in less than 5 months

- Christmas eve dinner with some of our favorite members

- Christmas day was pday, and got together with my whole zone and played some pickleball and had a pancake breakfast and played lots of volleyball, it was so fun!

- Sunday 2 of our friends came to church and brought their 2 cute kids, they didn't even text us that they were there, we walked in and there they were!

- Saturday we went to dinner with one of our recent converts and we went to LongHorn steakhouse, I was STUFFED after that dinner but it was delicious and they had mango lemonade and if you know me, you know I love mangos and lemonade so it was perfect

Sours:

- soooo basically we had to move to a new apartment because we were being harassed. Yeah it was bad but I'll save the details and the important part is we are okay!

- and we lost our dear friend Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. If you know me you know I love Elder Holland, and last transfer I challenged myself to read all of his general conference talks and I did! I loved every moment of it. He is so inspiring and has such a way with words. He makes you want to be a better disciple of Christ. I love in one of his talks he says "Heaven is cheering you on". Don't forget that you always have divine power on your side.

Pensamiento espiritual:

Of course the spiritual thought for this week is about The Birth of Our Savior! This month we as a mission have been working really hard to make sure everything feels the Christmas spirit. At first it was hard, we were facing a lot of rejection. But as we were focusing more on testifying of the Saviors birth we saw so many people softening their hearts and accepting our invitation to come to church to remember our Savior with us. In the song " He is Born, the Divine Christ Child", there's a line that says,

He is born, the divine Christ child;

Raise your voices in joyful melody!

Let us all raise our voices in joyful melody today and this season, and always testify of our Savior Jesus Christ, the Divine child who was born to save us all!

Love you like Jesus
